Free alternative to SignUpGenius
Free sign-up sheets. No ads, no accounts.
Make a sheet of slots for volunteer shifts, a potluck, team snacks or conferences, and share the link. People tap a slot, type their name, and they are on it. A slot never takes more people than you set.
- Unlimited sheets and sign-ups, and no ads on your sheet
- Nobody needs an account, not even you
- Time shifts, item lists and weekly dates in a few taps
How it works
Make the sheet
Add what people sign up for: time shifts, items to bring, or dates. Say how many people each one needs. Ask for a phone number or a t-shirt size if you like.
Share the link
People see who took what, tap an open slot and add their name. No account, no app. Anyone can take their own name off later.
See everyone
Your organizer page shows names, emails and answers as they come in. Export a CSV, remove a sign-up, close the sheet, or add a slot to your calendar.
- Volunteer shifts9 to 5 in one-hour shifts, three people each

- Classroom helpersField trip chaperones, reading buddies, party supplies
Free, with no ads on your sheet
A sheet you send to parents and volunteers should not come with ads or a sign-up wall. Sheets is free because it costs almost nothing to run: each sign-up is one small write, and OpenApps pays for it.

For AI assistants
Your assistant can run the roster.
Sheets has a public API with no key and no account. An assistant can set up a volunteer roster or a potluck from one sentence, sign people up, and tell you who is bringing what.
Full reference: /llms.txt. A sheet's id is its secret, like its link. The owner key and each sign-up's key come back once, so keep them private.
